iPhone 16 launched but there are other products too: Everything Apple announced at Glowtime event
At its Glowtime event, Apple introduced a range of new products. The spotlight was on the iPhone 16 series, alongside the unveiling of the Watch 10, Watch Ultra 2, and updated AirPods lineup, which includes the AirPods, AirPods Pro 4, and AirPods Max. In addition to hardware, Apple revealed its latest advancement in software—Virtual Intelligence. Other than that Apple also announced a couple of health features. iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
Apple has introduced the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, powered by the new A18 Pro chip. The phones come with larger displays (6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max), a titanium design, and the thinnest borders ever seen on an iPhone. Battery life has also improved, with the Pro Max offering the best battery life yet.
The camera system has been upgraded with a 48MP main camera, capable of recording 4K video at 120 fps, and a 5x telephoto lens. A new feature called Camera Control lets users interact with the camera more easily and quickly. Apple Intelligence, powered by on-device AI, enhances user experience by making tasks easier and more personalized, all while keeping privacy intact.
Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro series is more eco-friendly, with a focus on using recycled materials in its build. The new models are available in four titanium colors and offer storage options from 128GB to 1TB. The iPhone 16 Pro lineup continues Apple’s commitment to innovation, performance, and sustainability.
Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
Apple has introduced its latest iPhones, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which are powered by the all-new A18 chip and feature Apple’s new Apple Intelligence system. These models come with enhanced camera capabilities, increased battery life, and a fresh design.
One standout feature is Camera Control, a new way for users to capture memories more efficiently. The 48MP Fusion camera with 2x Telephoto and Ultra Wide options enhances photo quality, and the phones now support macro photography. The camera’s integration with Apple Vision Pro allows users to relive moments with spatial photo and video capture.
The iPhone 16 lineup also debuts Apple Intelligence, an AI-driven system that improves daily tasks such as writing, managing notifications, and interacting with Siri. With this, users can benefit from Writing Tools in iOS 18, using AI for rewrites and summaries across apps. Siri now offers a more intuitive and seamless experience, even handling follow-up requests more naturally.
According to Apple, the iPhone 16 price in India starts in India at Rs. 79,900, while the iPhone 16 Plus is priced at Rs. 89,900 – keeping in line with the pricing of the previous iPhone 15 modes. However, that is not the case for the entire iPhone 16 lineup.
The iPhone 16 Pro models have received a price cut of almost Rs. 10,000. iPhone 16 Pro now starts at Rs. 1,19,900 for the 128GB model and iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB variant costs Rs. 1,44,900.
In the US, the iPhone 16 starts at $799 (roughly Rs. 67,000), while the iPhone 16 Plus costs $899 (roughly Rs. 75,000). The top-end iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,01,000).
According to Apple, iPhone 1 series preorders have already commenced. It will be publicly available for purchase starting September 20 in India, the US and other regions.
