Shah Rukh Khan admits he started drinking after THIS film, ‘That’s one downside…’

Shah Rukh Khan recently shared that he accepted the titular role in Devdas, despite receiving advice against it from many veterans, simply because he believed his mother would have liked it.

Shah Rukh also admitted that he was quite anxious while filming Devdas, even turning to alcohol while playing the character. When asked if it helped, Shah Rukh replied with his trademark humour, “Well, I got the Best Actor award.” He added, “It might have helped, but I started drinking after the film and that’s one downside to it.”

Khan was then asked about turning to alcohol to get into the skin of the character and whether it helped. He cheekily said that he received the Best Actor Award, thus it worked. And then he revealed that he started drinking after Devdas. It became major headlines in entertainment news.

ShahRukh Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming movie King. The shooting for the same is expected to go on floors soon. Suhana Khan is also said to be a part of the film. Abhishek Bachchan is going to be the villain.
