Industrialist Ratan Naval Tata, the former Tata Group chairman who transformed a staid group into India’s largest and most influential conglomerate with a string of eye-catching deals, died at the age of 86 on Wednesday night. As political and business leaders from world over mourned his passing, cine stars also offered their condolences.
Veteran industrialist and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday at the age of 86. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to sudden drop in blood pressure. The entire Bollywood has shared heartfelt tributes to the legendary figure and remembered his leadership, and values. Actress Anushka Sharma shared on her Instagram as she wrote, ‘Deeply saddened by the news of Shri Ratan Tataji. He upheld the values of integrity, grace and dignity through everything he did and was truly an icon and Taj of India. RIP sir, you have touched so many lives’. Salman Khan took to his X page and wrote, ‘Deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Ratan Tata.” Actor Sanjay Dutt wrote, “India has lost a true visionary today. He was a beacon of integrity and compassion whose contributions went beyond business, impacting countless lives. May his soul find peace’.
